UNEP-WCMC
allows IPIECA members access to its data sets on the understanding
that they accept the following license agreement:
This
agreement does not extend to any other parties.
- The data provided will only be used for
the described purpose(s), by the recipient and third parties
now and in the future.
- The recipient and third parties will not
publish the data or any part of it without acknowledging
the copyright of the data
- No copies of the data will be made for
use by others without written consent from UNEP-WCMC
- Permission must be obtained in writing
before the information is used for purposes other than those
described in the initial data request.
- The data must not be entered on a permanent
computerised data set without written permission, and all
computer files must be destroyed at the end of the study.
- If a paper or report is based substantially
on the information supplied, a draft of the whole, or those
portions based on the provided data, should be submitted
for review before circulation.
- UNEP-WCMC shall be acknowledged in any
publication relating to the data along with any other organisations
identified by UNEP-WCMC as being information sources.
- Unless otherwise agreed, three copies
of any such publication will be supplied free of charge
- Twelve months from the delivery of the
data set, the recipient must contact UNEP-WCMC to ensure
the data are still valid for the proposed purpose.
